Stein Bier Keller celebrates ten years of bringing Bavarian cheer to Newcastle city centre

The Bigg Market’s Stein Bier Keller is celebrating its ten-year anniversary.

Newcastle’s iconic Stein Bier Keller is preparing to celebrate its ten-year anniversary on Saturday, December 7, as it brings ‘Keller Fest’ to the city centre.

Based in the heart of the Bigg Market, the venue will be welcoming back its original Oompah Band, The Bavarian Boyz, who helped launched the venue back in 2014.

Starting at 6pm, audiences can expect a high-energy, interactive show filled with traditional German music, crowd engagement, and iconic drinking songs that will have the full place singing and raising their steins.

Rob Halliday, Tokyo area manager, has expressed his pride at the venue being situated at the heart of the Newcastle’s iconic nightlife.

He said: “We’re incredibly proud to be celebrating ten years of Stein Bier Keller as a centrepiece of Newcastle’s vibrant nightlife.

“This venue has seen so many unforgettable nights, and it’s a true testament to the spirit of our guests and staff that we’ve come through challenges like the pandemic to celebrate this milestone.

Since opening in 2014, Stein Bier Keller has cemented its reputation as Newcastle’s premier Bavarian bier hall with its authentic décor, energetic Oktoberfest-style party atmosphere, and an unparalleled selection of 27 premium European biers.

Tickets for Keller Fest are on sale now with prices per person as follows:

  • Basic Bencher (£21.60): Entry, show, reserved bench, and a Haus Stein.
  • Wunder Bundle (£32.40): Entry, show, reserved bench, premium stein, Haus Shot, and waiter service.
  • Stein & Dine (£43.20): All the above plus cloakroom access and a delicious German Krakauer sausage.

The venue is recommending that group bookings are made under a single name to ensure proper seating arrangements.

The show starts at 6pm on Saturday, December 7, with final entry to the venue at 6.30pm. The entertainment will run until 9pm.
