TeamSport’s Newcastle venue has recently undergone a £1.2 million refurbishment which has included a brand-new fleet of Sodi RSX2 electric karts.

Combat Karts launched earlier this month, providing thrill-seekers in Newcastle with a unique, interactive go-karting experience. The karts are powered by Game of Karts, and is the first of its kind in the UK.

Combat Karts can be played by anyone over the age of thirteen, with an inside leg measurement of 29 inches or longer.

Dom Gaynor, CEO of TeamSport, said: “We are delighted to have launched our first Combat Karts at our newly refurbished Newcastle track. It has always been our mission to provide safe, unique, and exciting experiences and Combat Karts fulfils all those aspirations.

The ability to introduce a product to the UK that combines all the best parts of video racing games and pairs it with real-life go karting has been incredibly exciting for us. It is our hope that the interactive gaming element to the experience will appeal to a variety of people, looking for something new, fun, and different to do with friends, family, and colleagues.”

The go-karting experience involves racers competing against each other to complete laps and secure bonuses. Karters can win speed boosts and slow down their competitors by driving over highlighted spots on the track.
