Just six schools in and around Newcastle received “Outstanding” ratings from Ofsted on inspections throughout 2023.
Four of the six listed are nurseries, with one special education centre and a primary school also featured on the list.
Each of the locations has picked up the highest mark given by the Office for Standards in Education on inspections from across 2023, with two recently conducted in October.
1. Percy Hedley
Percy Hedley is the only primary school to make the list, with Ofsted granting a top rating for the Forest Hall-based school | Google
2. Hadrian School
Hadrian School is one of two schooling systems out of six to not be a nursery, with the special education centre handed an “Outstanding” rating earlier this year | Google
