A highly-anticipated dog festival which is held in the North East every year, has now announced a partnership with a dog wedding chaperone business.

The North East Dog Festival, which is held annually at Kirkley Hall in Ponteland, is collaborating with Chuck Tails - The Dog Wedding Chaperone, for the seventh festival which will take place from Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1.

Festival directors, Rebecca and Dawn said: “We are delighted to partner with Chuck Tails. Their commitment to ensuring that dogs are not only present but also comfortable and cared for on wedding days aligns perfectly with our mission to celebrate the bond between humans and their dogs. 

“As part of this year’s festival we will be running a number of super cool competitions that will tie in with the work that Chuck Tails do and we encourage visitors to check out our website and socials before the event”.

The North East Dog Festival has grown to become one of the largest dog events in the North, with dog shows, seminars, main ring displays, breed hang out and over 100 different trade stands. 

There will also be plenty of activities for the dogs to participate in, including lure racing, flyball, gundog scurries, agility, parkour and fastest recall. 

Brand-new for 2024, is the TRAILDOG CaniSports Arena, which will feature canicross and a mini-UltiMutt course.

The much-loved Wellness Tipi, will welcome specialist speakers who will discuss a range of subjects ranging from dog behaviour to dog massage. 

Chuck Tails will be running features, shows and competitions to find the best ‘doggy couple’, as well as finding the best dog-related love story in the region.
