The show is produced by award-winning human anatomist Sam Piri, who was featured on the BBC’s Dragons Den in 2018.
Speaking about The Post Mortem Live, Sam said: “We change the autopsy narrative each season to ensure we are able to put a fresh take on the anatomy and keep audiences hooked on the plot as we embark on a gripping academic experience of knowledge acquisition and true crime solving… it’s a really interesting learning journey for all involved”.
The Post Mortem Live is heavily attended by NHS staff for training, as well as students and those who are interested in how the field of pathology works.

Organisers have confirmed that The Post Mortem Live has been adapted and changed to ensure it is in keeping with respect for the Peter Sutcliffe’s victims and their families.
However, it will still examine the processes and modus operandi of the Yorkshire Ripper, coupled with the application of modern techniques that help ensure serial killers can’t remain at large.
