The X Factor to return - a look back at Geordie icon Cheryl as judge
Geordie pop icon Cheryl was a judge on The X Factor for five series.
It has been reported that The X Factor will return for a one-off special for Comic Relief this Friday, March 17.
The X Factor was axed after special shows The X Factor: Celebrity and The X Factor, The Band in 2019. The final regular series of The X Factor was in 2018, where Dalton Harris was crowned the winner.
Although The X Factor helped to sky-rocket certain individuals to the dizzying heights of fame such as One Direction, Little Mix and Leona Lewis - it is said that this one-off special will be more of a comedy sketch, with failed X Factor acts trying to record a single with the help of presenter, Dermot O’Leary.
Due to this exciting news, we at NewcastleWorld have decided to take a trip down memory lane to when our very own Cheryl was an X Factor judge. Cheryl first appeared on the judging panel on the show in 2008 until 2010. She returned as a judge for 2014 and 2015.
