Sam Fender at St James Park: Full list of Newcastle road closures for three concerts

A series of routes to the stadium will be inaccessible to cars over the three evenings for the huge city centre shows.

The final preparations for Sam Fender’s hugely anticipated three nights at Newcastle’s St James’ Park are underway, and a series of roads around the venue will be closed to make space for fans.

An incredible number of tickets have been sold and tens of thousands of people are expected to hit the streets around the stadium with Newcastle City Council closing roads across certain periods of the three days.

When are the Sam Fender shows at St James Park?

Fender will return to St James Park for three dates this June. They will fall on Thursday, June 12, Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15.

Which roads will be closed around St James’ Park for Sam Fender’s gigs?

Newcastle City Council has confirmed Strawberry Place will be the main road closure for the event.

The street, which runs from Leazes Park Road to Barrack Road, will be closed from 7:30pm until midnight across all three days shows are taking place.

This will be the only road closure for each event according to Newcastle City Council’s online road closure system.
