There will also be a chance to sample a wider selection in the taproom at the end, which will be open until 11pm for those who want to extend their visit.

Food can also be purchased from nearby street food vendors that can also be eaten inside the taproom.

The first 90-minute tour took place at 3pm yesterday (Saturday, November 2).

Scott Nendick, taproom manager at Anarchy Brewery, has given an insight into what you can expect from the tours.

He said: “We’re really looking forward to showing people around.

“Our taproom is open to the public every Friday and Saturday from midday until 11pm and the atmosphere is fantastic.

Anarchy has also created Boot Boys, in a nod to the world famous Newcastle Brown Ale, to give drinkers a “proper brown ale brewed in the toon”.

Tickets for the tour cost £20 per person, with only 14 places available per tour - the ticket includes a welcome pint and at least three half-pint tasters.
