Vicky Pattison shared an incredibly personal photo of herself on Instagram, to help open up the conversation around mental health. Pattison, 34, who originally found fame on Newcastle-based reality TV show Geordie Shore, shared an image of herself crying alongside nine other photos from various stages in her life and career, which she explained in the caption are from her “darker moments”.

She posted the carousel of images on World Mental Health Day (October 10), with a lengthy caption on her stance towards mental health issues. She started with: “What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candour and more unashamed conversation,” and ended with “You are loved and together we can fight this.”
