Watch as we ask Newcastle what their favourite Greggs item is

Greggs is a huge part of North East culture, and one of the favourite places for geordies to grab a pastry or sweet treat.

We took to Newcastle’s city centre to ask members of the public what their favourite Greggs item is. 

Newcastle resident Harriet explained that she is vegetarian so usually opts for a “cheese pasty” otherwise known as a Cheese and Onion Bake. However, she also commented that she would love for Greggs to introduce a vegetarian sausage breakfast sandwich. 

Alan explained that he chooses a simple bacon wrap, while Jack chooses a sausage roll which he enjoys at “optimal temperature”, as well as a steak bake. 

Finally, Wes explained that he enjoys a Sausage and Bean Melt, as he said: “I just love it. I’m quite boring in that choice but that’s my thing.”
