Watch: NE1 Christmas window competition open to local creatives

NE1 has released their Christmas window competition for this year after the success of last years event.

In 2020 they decided to start the windows as a way to still be festive even with Covid restrictions in place.

Twenty seven windows at nine vacant sites across the city were brought to life with Christmas themed artwork.

NE1 then created a trail for people to visit and Georgia Hadwin, marketing an events organiser, said the whole trail will be a positive thing for people to enjoy.

The confirmed sites for this year’s windows will be based around Market Street, Grey Street, Newgate Street and in the STACK.
