A transport boss has said that the majority of Tyne tunnel users are ready for cashless payments.

On the 8th of November the vehicles will be able to drive straight through the tunnel without stopping at the toll and will be able to pay after their trip.

The orange neuron E scooters can now be ridden in more parts of Newcastle after racking up 400,000 miles worth of trips around the original areas.

The scooters originally could only be used in the city centre and the areas surrounding it but Riders can now take the the scooters into ouseburn, heaton, byker, Arthur’s hill and elswick.

The £800 million upgrades set for the regions bus network are already in doubt.

A council leader has accused the government of being disingenuous about how much money is on offer for regions outside of London for a public transport upgrade.
