It’s unlikely Newcastle will see the kind of weather you would expect from a so-called heatwave but it will see quite a few pleasant and sunny days between now and the end of the month.

It will remain cloudy and somewhat overcast on Tuesday and Wednesday but Geordies can expect better weather towards the end of the week where sunshine and temperatures as high as 20°C.

This pleasant weather is set to last to at least Sunday.

The final week of September is predicted to be much more settled with sunshine virtually everyday but there will be a noticeable drop in temperature to 15°C.
