Sunny scenes at Tynemouth as North Tyneside enjoys June heatwave

After a warm May and mixed start to June, the month’s penultimate weekend is offering temperatures very rarely seen in this part of the country.

With sunny conditions pushing towards 30°C on Friday and Saturday, some lucky North East residents were able to enjoy the first day of the heatwave before the weekend crowds take to the beaches.
