After a hotly contested regular season and playoff series, the final game of the NFL season is nearly here and bars and event spaces across Newcastle are getting ready for the big night.

These are some of the places sport fans can watch the Superbowl on Tyneside this year.

Louie's Liquor Store

This Bigg Market bar is keeping its doors open into the early hours so fans can watch the big game for the third year in a row.

Promising a huge selection of drinks in addition to food served into the night and top decor, organisers are expecting the night to sell out.

Aspers

Over in the Gate, Aspers Casino is also putting on a special night for the event.

The city centre site will be open for the 11:30pm start and will show the full game with ticket deals including entertainment areas, VIP booths and beer and wings all available to buy online.

Anarchy Brew Co

Local breweries are also getting in on the act this year. Anarchy Brew Co, which is based in Walkergate, is showing the Superbowl for the first time this year.

The brewery is promising two giant screens, food and plenty of beers on tap alongside drink and march giveaways.

Tickets, which can be ordered online, include entry, a table seat and one beer.

Four Quarters

Back in the city centre, this Dean Street bar will show the full game with every ticket including a free drink.

The site is turning into a US sports haven for the night with a retro Madden tournament taking place alongside the food and drink you would expect from such an event.

City Vaults

Back at the Bigg Market, City Vaults is offering the chance to book tables for up to ten people for the night of the Superbowl.

Available deals also include beer towers and food tray options while fans can watch the game on multiple TVs alongside two huge projector screens.

When is the Superbowl this year?

The game will kick off at 11:30pm UK time on Sunday, February 11.

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will look to retain the Vince Lombardi Trophy against the San Francisco 49ers.
