Initial warnings were in place earlier this week and snow is now working its way across the UK.

Snow is currently covering parts of the UK, causing lovely scenes and travel chaos in equal measure, but the North East has remained relatively unscathed for now.

However, the Met Office has issued weather warnings across the region for the upcoming weekend with parts of Northumberland expected to see the worst of the conditions.
