Eight years after they released their last album, Britpop legends Blur are making a return in the UK and, ahead of a huge Wembley Stadium show this summer, they are playing smaller shows across the UK.

The small tour also comes as the band announce their ninth studio album, ‘The Ballad of Darren’ which is set to be released in July and this is everything you need to know about the band’s date in Newcastle.

When are Blur playing at Newcastle City Hall?

The band will be playing in Newcastle on Sunday, May 28.

The O2 City Hall website claims doors for the show open at 7pm. Previous shows on the same tour have seen Blur come on stage just after 9pm and play until a 11pm curfew.

Are tickets still available for Blur in Newcastle?

Unfortunately for anyone who missed out on tickets when they were released, the gig is sold out. No resale tickets are available through official means such as Ticketmaster’s resale portal.

How to get to O2 City Hall and where to park

Because of the city centre nature of the venue, parking around the site is very limited. John Dobson Street Car Park is the best option for those looking to drive into Newcastle for the gig. This is open until 11:30pm.

Anyone travelling by public transport has better options with Haymarket Metro station a short walk from the venue, as are Eldon Square and Haymarket bus stations.
