Where to find Newcastle’s Christmas Market food stalls once Christmas is over

Newcastle’s Christmas Market arrived on November 19, and has been a huge hit with the people of Newcastle.  The market, which is in three city centre locations this year, Grey Street, Grainger Street and Old Eldon Square will remain in place until the day before Christmas Eve, December 23.

Although the market has various stalls, from alcohol stockists, gift shops and much more, there is something at the market that everyone has been drawn to.

That is, of course, the food options available. From delicious sausages, melt in the mouth mac and cheese, burgers and much more - the food options at the market seem to have something to suit everyone’s taste.

But what happens when Christmas is over and the market is no longer there? Will we ever experience the taste sensations of the independent food stalls again?

Acropolis

Multi award winner, Acropolis Street Food can be found in various locations across the North East all-year round. The authentic greek street food travels across the North East as a pop-up stall, but also has a few mainstay locations, including in the Grainger Market in Newcastle. Another Acropolis main restaurant is located on Acorn Road in Jesmond.

Geordie Bangers

Sausage company, Geordie Bangers, have ten stockists across the North East who sell their delicious sausage and sausage-related food items. Locations include North Shields, Gosforth, Corbridge, Whickham, Forest Hall, Wallsend and more. Geordie Bangers also have their own shop located within North Shields’ Fish Quay.

Redheads Mac ‘N’ Cheese

Redheads Mac ‘N’ Cheese sells a variety of delicious mac and cheese combinations. Outside of the Christmas market, Redheads can be found in the Grainger Market, Stack Seaburn, and at the Quayside Market on Sundays.

Meat:Stack

Newcastle burger joint, Meat:Stack can currently be found at Newcastle’s Christmas Market. Usually though, Meat:Stack can be found at Newcastle’s Bigg Market. They also have a location in Leeds.

Deli Churros

Venezuelan dessert company, Deli Churros are a big hit at the market for the sweet-toothed Newcastle residents. But Churros are not just for Christmas, and you can find Deli Churros’ main location at Ridley Place, a road just off Northumberland Street.
