Pupils of the past might remember these scenes of Slatyford School.
The former comprehensive school opened in the mid 1960s and was later known as Redewood Comprehensive School before closing and being demolished.
It served Denton Burn and the surrounding areas and we are sure it will bring back recollections for many former pupils.
The excellent photos come from the online Newcastle Photo Archive which is packed with memories from Tyneside’s past.
