10 free transfers Newcastle United could complete - including Man Utd and Liverpool players
It could be another busy transfer window this summer for Eddie Howe as he looks to further develop the Magpies squad.
The finishing line of this season’s Premier League is quickly coming into sight as Newcastle United look to end a transformative campaign on a high.
With their relegation concerns now left in the not-so-distant past, Eddie Howe’s side travel to title contenders Manchester City on Sunday before rounding off their season with a home game against Arsenal and a visit to relegation-threatened Burnley.
A top ten finish is not out of the equation for the Magpies, which seems a far cry from what seemed like a near-certain relegation during the first half of the season.
But with momentum continuing to build with a serious improvement in performances and results, the focus is quickly starting to turn towards what could be another transformative transfer window during the close-season.
As revealed in NewcastleWorld last week, the Magpies have instructed agents they are prioritising a goalkeeper, centre-back, centre midfield and a striker in the window.
Many are expecting the club to provide Eddie Howe with a significant transfer outlay - but there are some intriguing potential signings in the free transfer market as several players approach the final months of their contracts at their current clubs.
NewcastleWorld takes a look at some options available on free transfers this summer...

1. Jesse Lingard (Manchester United)
Lingard can play in a variety of roles and as we have seen recently, Howe likes his front-three to be fluid and adaptable to all roles. After failing to land him in January, Newcastle may be more successful this summer in bringing Lingard to Tyneside. Photo: Clive Brunskill

2. Boubacar Kamara (Marseille)

3. Jason Denayer (Lyon)
The former Manchester City and Sunderland target has been linked with a move to Tyneside over the last six months and he will be available on a free transfer this summer. Photo: AFC via Getty Images

4. Christian Eriksen (Brentford)
