20 cut price moves Newcastle United could make this summer - including Juventus, Barcelona and Napoli stars

Newcastle United are currently putting plans in place for what could be a hectic summer transfer window.

Despite sporting director Dan Ashworth currently being on gardening leave after he received an approach from Premier League rivals Manchester United, the Magpies hierarchy are pressing on withh plans to boost Eddie Howe's squad in a bid to move on from what has been a difficult season at St James Park.

There are some big calls for Howe and his staff to make before the summer as the likes of Matt Ritchie, Jamaal Lascelles, Paul Dummett and Loris Karius all out of contract at the end of the season and, as it stands, all are set to leave the club if no agreement can be found.

However, United are far from the only club looking to tie down the future of members of their squad as the final months of the season approach. There are some big name players around Europe that will be available on free transfers once their current deals come to a close and that could present an opportunity for Newcastle to boost their ranks in a cost effective manner.
