The new Premier League season is just over a month away and Newcastle United have plenty of work to do before the new campaign gets underway.
The Magpies have endured something of a hectic summer so far as the sales of academy graduate Elliot Anderson and young winger Yankuba Minteh ended any threat of falling foul of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations.
There have been incomings with Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos was also confirmed along with the free transfer additions of veteran stopper John Ruddy and former Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly. Lewis Hall’s loan move from Chelsea has now been officially converted into a permanent switch after set criteria in the initial agreement were met last season.
Further new additions will be secured over the coming weeks as United supporters watch on with intrigue - and several familiar faces will also be keeping an eye on events at St James Park as the Magpies are known to have a whole host of celebrity supporters from the world of music, television, politics and sport.
