It's hard to believe we're only four months into the season. Newcastle United's 23/24 run has already had enough turbulence to fill an entire year.

After starting with an incredible win against Aston Villa, the Magpies faced tough matches against the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Brighton. The Toon then found their feet and winning form once again before allegations of Sandro Tonali's illegal betting began to circulate. Now, United are face-to-face with a dwindling squad.

As it stands, Newcastle have the most injuries of any team in the league.

Despite all of this, the season has been so full of joy and excitement. United's Champions League run has produced legendary moments still with at least two games to go.

There has also been brilliant and promising performances from Eddie Howe's side which has left fans bereft through the international break.

With the sheer amount of injuries the break was welcomed, however. And it looks like the squad should slowly start to strengthen again with the rumoured returns of Alexander Isak and Miguel Almiron.

It's also believed Kieran Trippier will feature in the next game following doubts after he left the England squad early for personal reasons.

Newcastle United are set to host Chelsea on November 25 in the Premier League before heading to Paris on Tuesday (November 28) for their second PSG clash of this Champions League campaign.
