51-word farewell message after Newcastle United trigger clause & secure permanent transfer
Miguel Almiron has returned to former club Atlanta United in the MLS, ending his six-year stay at St James’ Park where he made 223 appearances and scored 30 goals, his most memorable being the opener last season’s 4-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
And another departure that might have flown under the radar amid the Almiron news is Jamie Miley, who had been on the books at his boyhood club for a decade. While the 21-year-old didn’t make a competitive first-team appearance, he did appear for Eddie Howe’s side throughout pre-season.
