‘A crime’ - Newcastle United outrage as ‘handsome’ star misses out on topical list

Newcastle United are a good looking team, there’s no doubt about it. Are they up there with the fittest teams in the Premier League? I’d say it’s hard to think of a team that trumps them.

I know what you’re thinking- have we really stooped to such a low that we’re discussing how attractive United players are?

The answer is, astounding, yes, but through no fault of my own.

The attractiveness of Premier League players entered the public conversation on Twitter after a football fan posted his ‘Most handsome players in the Prem.’

It’s fair to say the fan’s picks were ridiculed, with one user hilariously commenting ‘this is a jumpscare.’

And Newcastle fans were well among the rabble as he failed to include a single Toon player.

Naturally, Geordie outrage ensued. Mainly because of the omission of Fabian Schar- a player who was literally called ‘Swiss chocolate’ by Newcastle United co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi.

One fan tweeted: ‘I’m sorry but you cannot have a most handsome 11 without Fabian Schar in, he’s literally the best looking bloke in the league,’ while someone else said: ‘Fabian Schar not being in here is a crime.’

Another supporter took a more technical approach by commenting: ‘Not fit for purpose with no Schar or Wilson in there. Sexiness of the highest order, those two.’
