'A lot' - Newcastle United star does what Anthony Gordon did in spiky response to 'noise'

When Newcastle drew 3-3 with Liverpool last week, Gordon celebrated his goal by doing a yapping gesture. Against Leicester, Murphy cupped his ears for both goals and could be seen shouting “what?” for the first.

In his post-match interview, Murphy then said: "I said in an interview a couple of weeks ago, we just need to be calm and level-headed. Never get too high or too low. We know the results will come.

“There's a lot of noise sometimes, but one win can change things. We just need to pick up the points and the table looks a lot different now."

The victory against the Foxes ended a run of four matches without a win for United, who sit 11th in the Premier League. Next up is Brentford at St James’ Park on Wednesday night with a place in the semi finals of the Carabao Cup on the line.
