Alexander Isak training blow as Newcastle United star left 'a little worried'

Following Newcastle United’s 3-1 win at Nottingham Forest on Sunday - a game where Isak scored the equaliser - the 25-year-old flew to Sweden’s training camp in Marbella.
However, the idea of training in a slightly warmer climate hasn’t gone to plan. Torrential rain on southern Spain’s Costa del Sol has halted Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side’s preparations.

Hide AdIt’s claimed Isak and his teammates received a red weather warning on their phones on Tuesday night. On Then, on Wednesday, a training session had to be cancelled due to heavy rain and thunder.
As per Expressen, their coaches and players plan to return to Stockholm on Thursday morning.
When asked about the situation, Isak said: “I got a little worried. You’ve seen in other cities in Spain how it’s been, so it wasn’t very fun. Hopefully it won’t be too crazy.
“There was a lot of rain. It was not optimal. We had to modify the training a little. It was a little shorter, but we at least managed to get a little run in us.”

Hide AdIsak didn’t link up with his nation during the October international break as he recovered from a broken toe.
After three weeks rest, Isak returned to the starting XI for Newcastle’s 1-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion. Since then, he has netted in four consecutive matches, including three successive wins against Chelsea, Arsenal and Forest.
He is expected to start against Slovakia, where he is likely to come up against club mate Martin Dubravka, before facing Azerbaijan on Tuesday. United aren’t back in action until Monday, November 25 when they welcome West Ham United to St James’ Park.
