The 25-year-old Frenchman trained on Friday ahead of the trip to Fulham but was left out of the squad that won 4-1 in the capital.
Asked if Saint-Maximin be involved for the visit of Brentford, head coach Eddie Howe said: “Yeah, hopefully.
“It’s always difficult to give a guarantee, but he did train with the team yesterday (Friday).

“Hopefully, with a good training week under his belt, he’ll be closer.”
In his last outing for the club, Saint-Maximin won the August Goal of the Month award for his last-minute volley versus Wolves.
Before that, the former Nice winger was awarded the Man of the Match award for his display during the 3-3 draw with Premier League champions Manchester City.
