In the video where Beckham looks back through his career in shirts, the former Manchester United player was also presented with some of his former rivals kits too.

And one of these kits was Newcastle United's Adidas strip worn in the 1999 FA Cup final against Beckham's Manchester United.

The Red Devils won 2-0 and it would be another 23 years before Newcastle reached another Wembley final.

But Beckham had a lot to say about the Magpies, and not just about our shirts.

"Newcastle always had good shirts to be honest," said the 48-year-old. "I've always loved Newcastle as a club, I love the fans, I love the way they are. We played up in Newcastle for England once and they were amazing."

Now fans have been left to wonder if Newcastle stood a chance at signing the England footballing legend.
