Hosted by Bloomberg’s Business of Sports Chief Correspondent Jason Kelly, the summit will explore key trends and topics shaping the future of sport, with discussions set to focus on critical issues such as the influence of private equity in sports investing, evolving dynamics in the world of football with a particular emphasis on the MENA region, and the rise of new opportunities in the esports sector.

Staveley will line up alongside the likes of His Excellency Khalid Al-Falih (Minister of Investment, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), Carlo Nohra (Chief Operating Officer of Saudi Pro League), Emeric Hudault (Chief Financial Officer of Fosun Sports Group) and Vikram Solanki (Director of Cricket at Gujarat Titans).

Karen Saltser, CEO of Bloomberg Media, said, “The inaugural Bloomberg Power Players Summit in Jeddah will serve as a pivotal platform for dealmakers, risk takers and game changers from business, investing, sports, media, and entertainment. The experience is designed to foster meaningful conversations against the backdrop of Saudi Arabia’s dynamic socio-economic landscape, where sports are gaining increasing prominence.” The event description reads: "In a matter of years, Saudi Arabia has emerged as the global epicentre of sporting ambition – and investment.

"From the PGA/LIV merger, to the privatization of Saudi Premier League football and major investments in Formula 1 and Formula E, the Kingdom is one of the few places in the world where ideas are matched with capital. With the Kingdom’s spending spree to date causing significant disruption within the sporting establishment, all eyes are on Saudi Arabia to see what’s next. "Set against the backdrop of the Formula One Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Bloomberg Power Players brings some of the world’s most influential voices in sports, entertainment and technology to Jeddah as we identify the next wave of disruption that could hit the multibillion dollar world of sports, media and investment."
