'Amazing' - Newcastle United new signing reacts to St James' Park appearance & concussion blow
The 21-year-old forward completed his £15million move from Sheffield United on Thursday and only trained twice with his new teammates before starting the 1-0 win over Stade Brestois on Saturday. Osula got 70 minutes into his legs.
“Very happy to get my debut in pre-season for Newcastle, very happy to be here,” Osula told NUFCTV. “It was a good game and good that we won. It was a good test and we look to next game now.

Osula impressed in front of the 33,000 fans in attendance. In the opening stages, the Denmark under-21s international displayed his rapid pace to latch onto Miguel Almiron’s pass and see a shot saved.
Later on in the first-half, Osula then saw a goal narrowly ruled out for offside after being played in by goalscorer Harvey Barnes.
Osula looked sharp, despite missing a week of training in the build-up to his Newcastle switch because of a concussion.

“I feel good. I came back from a concussion as well so I’m back now. I feel good and sharp. I will continue to work hard to get fit.”
He added: “It’s been a great welcome from everyone, I’m very happy to be here and part of this team and great club. Obviously I’m going to learn more about the Newcastle style of play as it comes along.
“Newcastle is a very good club and we are strong. We look forward to the Premier League season starting next week.”
Howe’s side begin their Premier League season at home to Southampton on Saturday (kick-off 3pm). Osula is likely to be on the bench with last season’s top scorer Alexander Isak set to lead the line.
