Anthony Gordon, Alexander Isak & Joe Willock: Newcastle United injury list & expected return dates.

There was mixed news on the Newcastle United injury front after Saturday's 4-4 draw against Luton Town at St James' Park.

Anthony Gordon was withdrawn at half-time with the score level at 2-2 after Sean Longstaff's brace was cancelled out by Gabriel Osho and Ross Barkley.

Carlton Morris penalty and Elijah Adebayo made it 4-2 to the visitors but the Magpies managed to rescue a point with goals from Kieran Trippier and substitute Harvey Barnes.

Gordon was replaced by Callum Wilson at the break and was spotted on crutches and wearing a protective boot on his right foot.

Speaking after the game, Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe said: “It looked like Anthony twisted his ankle. I wasn’t sure with the exact incident – I didn’t necessarily see the exact moment when he did it – but he was in a lot of pain at half-time and he had to come off.

“I’ve no idea how serious it is, but it was sore enough for him to have to come off. That was his decision, he knew he couldn’t continue. Obviously, we hope it’s not bad. He’s such an important player for us, and we missed him when he went off."

Newcastle were already without Alexander Isak, who went off with a groin issue against Aston Villa on Tuesday. The likes of Joe Willock, Elliot Anderson and Jamaal Lascelles also remain out.

There was, however, some positive news with both Barnes and Callum Wilson returning. Summer signing Barnes had been out for five months with a toe injury while Wilson hadn't featured this year due to a calf injury.

Here's a list of Newcastle United's current absentee list and when each player is expected to return:
