Newcastle United head into this evening's FA Cup quarter-final clash away to Manchester City with several players ruled out.
But one player who is expected to make the squad is Anthony Gordon. The winger withdrew with a knee issue in Monday's 3-2 defeat at Chelsea but is believed to have avoided a serious injury.
Gordon received his maiden England call-up on Thursday for friendlies against Brazil and Belgium before returning to training with his Magpies' teammates on Friday.
Speaking about Gordon's injury, Magpies' boss Eddie Howe said: "It was a strange one because initially when you see a player come off like that you fear it's a serious injury.
"He partly trained yesterday, we didn't do a great deal but he joined in and seemed okay. I don't think he did anything serious which is great news for us.
"We train again [Friday] so we'll do a full session and make a judgement after that."
Meanwhile, United are without the likes of Harvey Barnes and Kieran Trippier, while Callum Wilson, Joelinton and Nick Pope are longer-term absentees.
Newcastle head to the Etihad having not won there in 10 years. A victory will see them advance into the FA Cup semi-finals for the first time since the early 2000s.

1. Fabian Schar - hamstring
Schar felt tightness in his hamstring against Sheffield United, which forced him to withdraw at half-time. Possible return date: Burnley (A) 04/05.
2. Sven Botman - ACL
The Dutchman has been ruled out for six to nine months after undergoing surgery on his knee. Possible return date: December 2024.
3. Matt Targett - Achilles
Targett is sidelined for the rest of the season with an Achilles issue having only just returned from four months out. Possible return date: 2024-25 season.
4. Jamaal Lascelles - ACL
Lascelles sustained an ACL injury against West Ham and will be sidelined for six to nine months. Possible return date: December 2024.
