Transfers that could still happen at Newcastle United this month
With less than a week left of the transfer window, Newcastle United remain heavily involved in the market as they look to bolster their chances of a strong end to the season. The Magpies have so far only welcomed Garang Kuol four months after he signed for the club, with the Australian then heading straight out on loan to Hearts.
The Magpies currently sit third in the Premier League table, behind only Arsenal and Man City. After a brilliant first half of the campaign, Eddie Howe will now look to bring in some fresh faces to ensure they can keep up this form and not slowly fall out of the top four.
Since Newcastle were taken over in 2021, they have continued to be linked with some of the biggest names in football and this month has been no different. Ahead of next week’s transfer deadline day, we take a look at the nine transfers that could still happen.

1. Hakim Ziyech (Chelsea)
Newcastle United have been linked with a move for Hakim Ziyech this month, however recent reports claim Chelsea are reluctant to strengthen their rivals.

2. Amadou Onana (Everton)
Newcastle are said to have expressed interest in signing Onana this month as reports have emerged of Arsenal making an approach to sign him.

3. Nicolo Zaniolo (Roma)
Newcastle have reportedly offered around £30m to lure Zaniolo to St. James’ Park, however they face competition from the likes of Tottenham and AC Milan.

4. Ivan Fresneda (Real Valladolid)
Newcastle join the likes of Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund being linked with the highly-rated full-back, however Real Valladolid have confirmed they are yet to receive an offer for the teenager.
