Newcastle are making the fairly long trip south as they face Premier League leaders Arsenal in the latest round of fixtures in the Premier League.

Newcastle, who currently occupy the Champions League places, drew a blank in their last outing against a resolute Leeds United side. Newcastle registered double the shots and five times more shots on target but couldn’t find a way through.

Meanwhile, their opponents are scoring goals for fun and scored four away from home in their last Premier League game. Goals from Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketiah, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard were enough to see Brighton off.

But, despite their success up front, Arsenal do leak goals at the back which is something Newcastle will look to exploit. Arsenal have conceded three goals in two games since the Premier League resumed on Boxing Day.

Callum Wilson was an unused sub for Newcastle at the weekend. The former Bournemouth striker has been battling a bout of illness, but will hope to see some minutes tonight (January 3).

When does Arsenal v Newcastle kick off?

Arsenal v Newcastle will kick off at 7:45pm on Tuesday, January 3 2023. The game will be played at the Emirates Stadium, the home of Arsenal for almost two decades.
