Major Newcastle United injury boost confirmed ahead of tonight’s Champions League versus Borussia Dortmund.

Ahead of the game, Willock posted on social media: “So happy to be back with the Team. It’s been a challenging journey. I want to express my deepest gratitude to all the people who supported me during this time. Your encouragement and well wishes meant the world to me.”

Meanwhile, Sandro Tonali has also arrived at St James’ Park.

The 23-year-old is subject to investigation by the Italian Prosecutor’s Office and the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) in relation to illegal betting activity.

As per the Daily Mail, Tonali’s lawyers are set to agree on a 10-month ban, which will rule him out until August next year, although the midfielder will be able to train as normal.

Tonali came on as a substitute during Saturday’s 4-0 win over Crystal Palace and is eligible to play this evening with official confirmation yet to arrive.
