There can be no doubt injuries have hampered Newcastle United's attempts to build on the overwhelming success of last season.
In reaching their first major cup final since 1999 and securing a return to the Champions League after a two-decade absence, Eddie Howe's side seemed to have to set firm foundations for another memorable campaign on Tyneside.
Yet from the minute the season got underway, the Magpies boss has consistently battled with a lengthy list of absences - and that battle remains ongoing after Sven Botman underwent knee surgery and young midfielder Lewis Miley suffered a lower back injury during the international break.
There are some positive signs for Howe with at least three players believed to be in contention to return for Saturday's home game with West Ham United - but when can the Magpies expect the rest of their injured stars to finally make a return to on-field action?
