Newcastle United go in search of a fifth straight Premier League victory at the Gtech Community Stadium this afternoon (kick-off 3pm).
The Magpies have followed up back-to-back wins before the international break with six points against Manchester United and West Ham this week to boost their Champions League qualification hopes.
Eddie Howe’s side remained in London after Wednesday’s 5-1 win as they prepare to face a Brentford side, who sit ninth in the top-flight table and harbour their own hopes of European qualification.
Heading into the game, Newcastle aren’t thought to have any fresh injury concerns, although Howe did admit there were a “few aches and pains”.
“It’s too early to say,” said Howe. “There probably will be a physical cost from the game but whether there are any fresh injuries or not, they take a day or two to surface. We’ve got a few aches and pains but I don’t know how serious.”
