Brighton and Hove Albion fear they could be without Julio Enciso for upcoming Premier League matches against West Ham United and Newcastle United.
The 19-year-old has started the new season in good form with Seagulls boss Roberto De Zerbi describing Enciso as the best player on the pitch during Saturday’s 4-1 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Enciso was due to link up with Miguel Almiron’s Paraguay during the September international but a social media post by the national team’s official account read: “The player Julio Enciso has suffered trauma to his left knee, in one of his club’s training sessions. He is being assisted and evaluated by the Brighton medical team and studies will be carried out in the next days.
“We are still waiting to know these results together with the official report of the injury, the treatment and the probable rehabilitation time.”
Paraguay journalist Roberto Rojas also posted: “Reports coming out that Julio Enciso did not finish training for #BHAFC yesterday due to knee discomfort with suggestions of a possible meniscus tear.”
Brighton host West Ham on Saturday before welcoming Newcastle to the Amex Stadium a week later.
