With the summer transfer window fast approaching, the number of names linked with a summer move to Newcastle United is beginning to increase.
Once the 2022-23 Premier League campaign is over, where Eddie Howe’s side will have hopefully secured European football for next season, the Magpies are expected to be busy in the transfer market.

“It is quite well known that Newcastle United have long admired defender Joe Gomez as they look to bolster their centre-half options ahead of several players being out of contract this summer,” Dodge told CaughtOffside.
Any potential deal for Gomez, however, is unlikely to be straightforward after the 25-year-old signed a new long-term contract at Liverpool last summer.
Gomez put pen to paper on a five-year deal, and had been a regular in Jurgen Klopp’s side starting before picking up a muscle injury at the end of February.

Hide AdAs per CIES Football Observatory Weekly, Gomez is valued at around £26million. Selling at that price would see the Reds make a sizeable profit having paid just £3.5m to sign him from Charlton Athletic in 2015.
During his seven-and-a-half-years at Anfield, Gomez has 171 appearances and won titles such as the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.
Howe may indeed be an admirer of Gomez, but the 11-capped England international is one of many options Newcastle will consider at the end of the season.
