Newcastle United are preparing for a return to Premier League action against Chelsea on Saturday afternoon following the end of the November international break.
After a relentless period with injuries, the two-week break came at a good time for the Magpies. The hope now for head coach Eddie Howe is the players involved with their respective nations return to Tyneside unscathed.
As it stands, United could be without 13 senior players for the visit of Chelsea to St James' Park. Callum Wilson and Miguel Almrion withdrew from international duty after picking up hamstring injuries, while Kieran Trippier linked up with England but later left the camp because of a personal matter.
Trippier and Almiron, however are expected to be available this weekend, as is Alexander Isak. Meanwhile, Bruno Guimaraes is back from suspension.
