Carabao Cup screenings in Newcastle: Tickets super hot property as final fever takes over Tyneside

All tickets for screenings at NX Newcastle and Wylam Brewery have already sold out, with fans desperate for new screening announcements.

Carabao Cup fever is already taking over Tyneside ahead of Newcastle United travelling to Wembley in two week's time as tickets for a Central Park screening at NX Newcastle and a viewing party at Wylam Brewery are snapped up.

The 1,500-person capacity Westgate Road venue, which was formerly the O2 Academy Newcastle, confirmed that it would be hosting a screening of the cup final in Newcastle for those fans not able to score a ticket at Wembley Stadium.

It is, of course, the same venue that held screenings of England's World Cup games late last year and a similar set-up is expected for the Carabao Cup fan zone.

Central Park, the organisers behind each summer's screenings outside the Life Centre in Newcastle, is at the helm of this one. The group explained why they would be holding the event in NX Newcastle, rather than setting up the outdoor space early.

It said: "With such a short time on our hands, and the cost implications to host a one-day event on the Square - especially exposed to the February weather - we decided to keep the ticket price down and keep you sheltered at the newly renovated NX!

The venue hosted a much more successful night than on Friday.

"We open the doors at midday with local DJs, entertainment and a Geordie build-up on the big screen, plus obviously the main event kick-offs at 4:30 pm on our very own huge big screen we are bringing in to ensure a seamless screening for all to see throughout the afternoon and into the evening, hopefully with mental celebrations!"

The event at NX Newcastle isn't the only one to sell out either, with Wylam Brewery holding a viewing party that has already had its capacity of tickets sold out.

Newcastle fans will fill the Grand Hall at the much-loved brewery, which regularly holds gigs and events.

Even with weeks left until the big game, tickets for the screening events have all been snapped up at Carabao Cup fever builds on Tyneside. Keep an eye out for upcoming screening announcements and bars confirming the match will be on the big screen.
