However, the game isn’t completely pointless for Eddie Howe’s side as there is an opportunity to finish third and above Manchester United for the first time in Premier League history.

Ahead of this weekend’s game, it’s been revealed that Chelsea will be without central defender Badiashile.

The 22-year-old was absent for Sunday’s defeat to Manchester City and will now undergo a period of rehabilitation. It’s feared the Frenchman could miss the beginning of next season.

Badiashile has made 11 Premier League appearances for the Blues following his £33million January move from Monaco and has impressed, despite a poor season under Graham Potter and now Frank Lampard.
