Christian Eriksen has reportedly decided on his next club amid interest from Newcastle United.

Newcastle United transfer target Christian Eriksen has reportedly verbally agreed to join Manchester United.

NewcastleWorld revealed last week contact lines between the Magpies and Eriksen’s representatives remained open.

The Denmark international has held talks with a number of Premier League clubs after completing a remarkable return to football with Brentford.

Eriksen enjoyed a six-month stint in West London, Eriksen, registering four assists and scored once in his 11 appearances.

The Bees attempted to keep the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, however accepted the player was keen to explore other options.

And as per The Athletic, Erik ten Hag’s Man United are set to win the race, with the 30-year-old close to signing a three-year contract.

It’s claimed a deal is in the process of being finalised, though Eriksen would need to come through medical tests after suffering a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020.

Newcastle were interested in bringing Eriksen to St James’ Park but missing out on his signature comes as no major surprise, with Man United always viewed as favourites to land his signature.

The Magpies have made three summer signings thus far - Matt Targett, Nick Pope and Sven Botman, and remain in the market for a wide forward and striker.
