With an opportunity to record a 10th consecutive win for the first time in their entire history, Newcastle went into the game as favourites but were left stunned by the Cherries.
Justin Kluivert scored twice in the first half either side of Bruno Guimaraes’ equaliser before the Dutchman completed his hat-trick in stoppage. Left-back Milos Kerkez then added a fourth.

Hide AdSpeaking after the game, Semenyo - who set up Kluivert’s opener - revealed his side’s plan to press a Newcastle defence that had only conceded three goals in nine games prior to kick-off.
"It was a crazy performance from us,” Semenyo told Premier League Productions. “We just knew we needed to get the press right and if we did we'd get opportunities and as you saw from a couple of the goals we got the press right and got the three points.
"We knew they had moments when they'd keep it at the back and we wanted to catch out the back four. As soon as the goalkeeper passed to the centre back that was our trigger to go and it worked out perfectly.
"Justin [Kluivert]'s finishes were special. He's a top player for us. It was a well-deserved hat-trick.”
