'Delighted' - Official statement confirms Newcastle United transfer decision as deadline passes
Newcastle United midfielder Joe White is staying at MK Dons, despite attracting interest from clubs further up the Football League.
The 22-year-old joined the League Two club in the summer, initially linking up with former Magpies defender Mike Williamson before he left to join Carlisle United in September.

In his last five matches, White has scored three goals and provided one assist. That has led to interest from elsewhere but United have opted against activating his break clause, which expired on Monday, January 13.
He will therefore remain at MK Dons for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign.
An MK statement read: “Newcastle loanee Joe White will remain at Stadium MK until the end of the season.”

“While the parent club had an option to recall the 22-year-old, that deadline has now expired, meaning White will stay at Stadium MK for the remainder of the current campaign.
“So far, the Magpies’ loanee has seen six goal contributions in 18 appearances, with 15 of those being starts. MK Dons are delighted to continue their support of Joe White’s development.”
Last January, Newcastle recalled White from his loan spell at Crewe Alexandra as injuries hit Howe’s squad. The Carlisle-born midfielder went on to make four substitute appearances before signing a new contract until 2027.
