Eddie Howe hopes to have Alexander Isak available for the trip to Liverpool on Wednesday after giving the Swede the matchday experience against Wolves.
Following his £58million club-record arrival from Real Sociedad on Friday, Isak travelled to Molineux but was not named in the matchday squad after failing to obtain a work permit in time.

Rather than leave Isak on Tyneside, Howe was keen for the 22-year-old to be in-and-around the squad and get a taste of what’s to come.
“He was with us today in the dressing room,” Howe revealed after the game, where Allan Saint-Maximin scored a stunning 90th-minute equaliser. “We wanted him to experience the game as a player even though he couldn’t play.

“I think it would have been an eye opener for him. The physicality of that game was end-to-end, a very open football match.
“If I’m looking at it through his eyes, I’d be excited by looking at our team today and how many chances we could create for him.

“But I’d also realise I have to contribute to the team in a physical way because that game was brutal.”
It’s a quick turnaround for the Magpies, who face Liverpool at Anfield in two days’ time - and Howe is expecting Isak to be in the squad.
The 44-year-old said: “I don’t know if the bank holiday weekend had something to do with it.
“We’d be hugely disappointed if we couldn’t use him on Wednesday in some capacity.”
