Murillo’s header had the Magpies trailing at half-time but they flipped the result on its head in the second-half. Alexander Isak levelled before Joelinton put his side in front.
It came after the 28-year-old moved from right to left wing. He cut inside and rocketed the ball into the bottom corner.

“Joey goes to the right and does a good job wherever he is put. He’s got that attitude that he doesn’t care where he is as long as he’s on the pitch.
“He scored a great goal, a great left-footed finish and I had the perfect view of it. Just delighted to see it hit the net and probably the biggest moment in the game.”
Joelinton’s goal, his second of the campaign, once again highlights his transformation under Howe. Signed for a then club-record £40million from Hoffenheim, Joelinton has gone from a flop to what Howe described as a “beast” and “a machine”.

“We see that in training all the time, it doesn't matter what you put on he'll give his best to try and win in. They are qualities that if you have in any footballer I think you've got a chance of building a player.
“I think Joe deserves the credit for that. The player has to commit to whatever you ask him to do and Joe has done that from minute one of us being here.
“I love working with him and I want more from him, I think he can get more goals because you look at the two goals he's scored this season with the Southampton finish and his finish today, that's a player with real finishing abilities - it's just about trying to get him more chances and obviously keep working with him on his finishing techniques.”
