Eddie Howe outlines Joelinton's plan after Newcastle United favourite signs four-year contract

Joelinton has signed a “long-term” contract to commit his future to Newcastle United.
An official club statement confirmed the news Toon fans were waiting for. Joelinton, a record £40million signing in 2019, has become a cult hero on Tyneside following his dramatic transformation.

Joelinton has since helped Newcastle qualify for the Champions League and, when fit, is one of the first names on the team sheet. The 27-year-old is understood to have signed a four-year extension.
"I feel great,” Joelinton told NUFC TV. “I feel very happy and my family is happy. A lot of things have happened in my years here. I've learnt a lot and grown a lot, and for me to come here to Newcastle was the best decision of my career.”
Howe also hailed the midfielder, who has been out since January with a thigh injury. He added: "This has been a big priority for us off the pitch and I'm absolutely delighted Joelinton has committed his future to the club. Joey is an exceptional player and person, and the love he has for the club is reciprocated by all of us here.
