Newcastle United cruised to a 5-1 win over Brentford at St James’ Park, making it back-to-back, goal-laden games.
Following on from their 4-1 Fulham victory, Bruno Guimaraes netted twice, Miguel Almiron added to his tally, Jacob Murphy got his first of the season before an Ethan Pinnock own goal rounded things off.

Hide Ad“He was outstanding,” Howe said on Bruno. “We really missed him when he was out. Quality player who helps us in every phase.
“If you look where the goals came from today our intensity and pressing, we forced them into errors and we got rewarded for that.
“Overall a great day for us.
“Today was a tough game. Brentford make it very difficult for you. We had a bit of a slow start but the first goal changed everything from our perspective.”
